I'm so excited you are joining us on this journey to Uganda. Thanks for coming to our stories page. Here's what's going on right now.
Our first team meeting is coming up at the beginning of March. Right now our team is very small. Would you pray for others to join us? Pray for God's voice to be clear to those He would call to come on this trip. Pray that fear of the unknown would not hold people back from considering a short term trip if they have never gone on one before. Pray for clarity and conviction to those who have been considering but have not made a final decision yet. Pray that in this month of February God would be preparing and reaching out to those He has chosen for this trip and that they would respond.
Secondly, we are gearing up with pre-planning, including vaccines. These can be expensive and it can be daunting to navigate this task. Some vaccines are required while others are recommended, some need to be re-administered frequently and some last for 10 years or more. Would you pray for clarity, financial provision, available appointments and solid information for those of us navigating this process right now? Please also pray for low side effects, available medications, and that all the proper documentation would be given (or found on our bookshelves or in file cabinets) so we can get this part squared away. For me personally, deciding on the vaccinations, making the appointments, getting all the paperwork filled out and the prescriptions written and filled- this has been the most stressful part of missions trips in the past for me. I can tend to want to procrastinate on this task, but this is not something I want to leave for the last minute, I know. I'd love your prayers for the time, focus and clarity I need to sit down and get the ball rolling on my own vaccination process.
