Kampala, Uganda

Located in East Africa, Uganda is an independent country with a booming economy, mild weather, and breathtaking landscapes and wildlife.  There is no doubt as to why it is called the “Pearl of Africa.”  The country is home to 83% Christians with 5 unreached people groups.  Uganda has widespread prayer movements, a strong evangelical presence in the Church of Uganda (Anglican).  Public prayer is common even in government and judicial buildings, and many people attend church.  

We will spend our time with Pastor Robert and Rose Nabulere, founders of Miracle Centre Kawempe and Miracle Destiny Schools.  Northland Church has worked with Miracle Centre Kawempe since 2012 conducting church planting and growth seminars in the 4 regions of Uganda resulting in more than 500 pastors being trained and thousands of churches being planted.  In the year 2014, Northland sent a team to physically construct a school block at Miracle Destiny High which is a project of Miracle Centre Kawempe, where the Church is reaching students with God’s love in action. 

Activities include playing with the children; reading/teaching bible stories; basketball/volleyball/soccer match with the students; and discussion of life skills at the high school.  We will also visit the Nile River.
